I didn't discover drumming until the ripe old age of twenty three! I bought a drum kit in a local music shop - bashed around for about two weeks and realised I was getting no where fast!
So I took up private lessons for two years, realised I wanted more and so I went on to study for a 1 year diploma in contemporary music @ London’s finest school for drummers – Drumtech.
After this, I took at year out to digest what I had been taught, took on a couple of eager students and then went back to Drumtech to start a 3 year degree (Bmus).
During my studies, I was lucky enough to be taught by some of the very best drummers in the industry...
- Paul Elliot – Technician extraordinaire & amazing drummer
- Pete Cater – Founder & drummer for award winning ‘The Pete Cater Big Band’ – a truly awesome musician
- Tom Meadows - Girls Aloud, Duffy
- Mark Roberts - Massive Attack, Nenah Cherry
- Nick Twyman – Berklee graduate - Miss Saigon, Starlight Express, Sunset Boulevard, Evita – a great inspiration
- Bosco De Oliveira – Amazing percussionist

Since graduating, I have been playing & teaching as a pro drummer...
I have played hundreds of gigs of every persuasion, from touring the London indie circuit, performing at international music festivals, to giant outdoor events. I have recorded with Greg Haver (Manic Street Preachers – The Lost Prophets, Catatonia etc) and even played with the dinosaurs at the Natural History Museum!
I am now currently drumming for ‘Funkify’ - London's finest and first call, professional 9 piece funk and soul band.
I have been teaching privately for over six years. I have taught over a hundred students to date, with ages ranging from 6 to 64 years old. Every student inspires me in some way and each one becomes a bespoke project in their own right...a pleasure to teach.
I look forward to working with you too.
